Yard & Garden Soils
Garden soil holds plants and gives them nutrients, water, and air. Good soil mixes sand, silt, clay, and organic matter so it keeps moisture, drains extra water, and feeds microbes and earthworms. Well-structured soil supports strong roots, helps resist drought and disease, and encourages proper flowering and fruiting by balancing nutrients and pH. Regularly adding amendments and testing the soil keeps it fertile.
*All blended and screened soils may have some moisture and even clumps when kept in our dry storge.
2-Way Blended Soil

2-Way blended soil is roughly 50% yard debris compost and 50% screened sand and is intended for leveling a lawn or planting a new lawn. The nutrition rich compost will encourage growth and the screened sand offers a good drainage, and will warm new seeds and roots which is an ideal growing environment.

3-Way Blended Soil

3-Way blended soil is roughly 40% yard debris compost, 40% screened sand and 20% fine dark fir. This material can rejuvenate tired soil or can be ready to plant. Ideal for in ground planting for vegetable or flower gardens, trees, shrubs, raised beds and potted plants. The nutrition rich compost will encourage growth and improve soil structure. The screened sand offers good drainage and will warm new seeds and roots. While the fine dark fir will provide long term nutritional break down.

The Pumice blend soil is roughly 40% yard debris compost, 40% screened sand 15% fine dark fir and 5% pumice. This material can be ready to plant and is ideal for raised garden beds and potted plants. The nutrition rich compost will encourage growth and improve soil structure. The screened sand provides drainage and will warm new seeds and roots. The fine dark fir will provide long term nutritional break down and pumice will retain water and add drainage.

This recycled yard debris compost is US Composting Council approved and is the main ingredient in all our soil blends. This material can improve soil structure, help retain water and increase the amount of organic matter in tired soil. This finally graded, rich black compost can be used as a soil amendment for most any garden or landscaping project.

This native soil is finally screened to remove large rocks and debris. Most commonly used to fill an area or help level hardscape transitions. Being low in nutritional value this material is not ideal for successful planting.

Pumice is a light porous rock that is roughly 1/4” up to 3/8” is size. When blended into soil it can offer ideal drainage in raised beds or potted plants while retaining moisture.
